unnamed (9)It’s a great day to be an AppDynamo in Texas! This morning we opened our Dallas office with President Joe Sexton to personally welcome each employee with a warm handshake, cup of coffee and breakfast. This evening we had CFO Walter Berger host a town hall, followed by food and drinks for our amazing Dallas employees, customers, and partners. The buzz was electric; customers and partners alike were impressed with the new office, our people, and our great camaraderie.

The Dallas office has come a long way in the past three years. In 2012 when I started this office, we had five inside salespeople, two software engineers and a 2,500-square-foot hole in the wall. This first office was a great place to start our Dallas journey and it truly had that start-up feel, with two-to-three people sharing a desk, and an electric energy and vibe. With the hyper-growth of inside sales, we outgrew this initial space in five months. When we moved, we all had smiles on our faces, ready to tackle the next phase.

From there, we moved into a 5,000-square-foot space and the team really began to take shape. We expanded beyond sales, bringing in operations, customer support, technical account managers, field sales, and engineers. Fast forward to the middle of 2014, and the office had grown from its humble beginnings of seven people to over 50 (32 of whom were inside sales).

As we grew, we were mindful of keeping that start-up feel and excitement. We’ve done that through collaboration, altruism, hiring top talent, team outings to support community and those in need, family BBQs and more. Truly, it’s a joy to come to work each day!Bhkq26nCIAAKdMb

Now as I sit down after our grand opening and look around, I can’t help but smile as I survey over 15,000 square feet of space with beautiful decor and graphics, amazing collaboration areas, a huge town hall, and fun breakout areas.

We have great people, technology, and culture, and I’m so proud of all we have accomplished and how far we have come. And I’m genuinely excited for what the future holds.
