Tuesday, 26th June is the last stop (for now) of our European leg of the AppD Global Tour. So far over 500 technologists have attended the other three stages, and London is set to be the biggest of them all, with over 500 people expected to attend! Register for free here.
If you have ever been involved in putting on big events, you will know the time, effort and focus required to put on a memorable conference and how do you know you have got it right? Simply, smiling faces and great feedback – and every AppD Tour event we have done so far has ticked both of those boxes!
Every great conference has a great theme, a rallying call, a statement to set the tone for the day and this year we are making a call for every attendee to become an “Agent of Transformation”. This is the theme of our opening keynote, because the reality is that tech innovation is happening faster and faster in every industry, and so it’s the responsibility of every technologist to ensure that this innovation drives positive benefits for their business, and their careers. In the keynote we will hear from Andy Sturrock, Head of Modernise IT Transformation from BP, who will outline how tech is changing and disrupting the Oil and Gas industry, and how they’re embracing this with a five-pillar approach to transformation. Andy will discuss how APM and Real-Time Intelligence is key to automation, in order to move faster and to help teams focus on what matters. Firaas Rashid, EMEA CTO will then outline a blueprint on how to become an Agent of Transformation and how AppDynamics, through Real-Time Intelligence can help. I guarantee that this keynote is useful in order to understand the value that AppDynamics brings to enterprises and how we go beyond monitoring.
The theme of becoming ‘An Agent of Transformation’ and ‘Real-Time Intelligence’ will continue for the closing keynote as Ceire McQuaid, Regional Director at AppDynamics will host an interesting panel in which AppDynamics customers explain how they are transforming their careers in IT.
After the keynote, the conference will then split into two main tracks, that are both free to attend. The first track will focus on how to get the best from adopting AppDynamics in your enterprise. Firstly, we have a great session on how to ‘Ensure That Every Customer Matters With End User Monitoring’. This presentation, led by AJ Jindal, Product Manager for Mobile and IoT will go into more depth about our End User Monitoring and analytics capabilities and how we provide a complete, unified view of user experience. Following on from this, we will hear from Amit Sharma, Product Marketing Manager, who will go into detail about how AppDynamics helps with migration to cloud platforms and how we help with seamless application performance monitoring across hybrid and modern architectures.
Next we have a session centered on adoption, and the discussion will focus on the people and process side of moving towards a strategic approach to monitoring. Finally, we have Edgar Rivera, Senior Solutions Engineer, who will be presenting a not-to-miss session on ‘Top Tips For AppD Adoption Success’. This session has proved very popular at all our events and is guaranteed to have you dancing by your seat (literally!).
The second track delves into more into how Agents of Transformation, or IT innovators can drive change in their organisations. Firstly, and I am super excited about this, we have Rich Haigh and Bennie Johnston from Just Eat who will be discussing how to get DevOps right. Now I know, lots of tech conferences have DevOps sessions, but this one is a story not to miss, as Rich and Bennie will go into detail about their Site Reliability Engineering approach and provide best practices, based on experiences at Just Eat. Following on from this story we will then hear from Simon Ratcliffe, from Ensono, a CIO Advisor, who will discuss his recommendations on ‘Overcoming Transformation Barriers’. Having had a preview, I know this session will be entertaining and valuable, as he compares the world of IT to rugby.
In the afternoon, we will then explore how Business iQ can help you unlock the power of performance data, in real-time. This is another session, that personally, I am excited about, as Andy Jackson is a great public speaker and is an expert in APM. Andy will go into the key use cases for Business iQ. Finally, Jonah Kowall, VP for Market Development and Insights will provide an in-depth presentation around AppDynamics vision and some of our roadmap highlights – a good session to understand the direction of AppDynamics from a tech perspective!
Sponsors And Demo Booths
Atos, DevOpsGroup, Dimension Data, IBM, Logicalis, Moogsoft and World Wide Technology are all confirmed as sponsors and will be around the expo area to answer your questions. In addition we will have a number of AppDynamics demo booths with our solution engineers ready to answer your queries about Application Performance Management, End User Monitoring, Infrastructure Visibility, Business iQ or our partner integrations.
