We’ve never been before, but we’ve heard great things about O’Reilly’s open source conf in Portland, OR. Here are a few reasons why we’re excited to be going (and why you
should be, too):
1. Some great sessions from some superstar AppDynamics employees:

The Secret Diaries of a Performance Tuning Superhero
Stephen Burton, Technology Evangelist
7/18/12 at 2:30pm in Room E147
At AppDynamics we have the privilege of working with a lot of amazing customers on solving some pretty crazy performance problems. In this session Steve takes a look back at the major performance and scalability bottlenecks of the past year using real-life customer case studies. It will cover common architecture pain points, the troubleshooting process and the end root cause many customers faced in production environments. It will also discuss the key challenges and best practices for Dev and Ops teams to manage application performance and scalability in live environments.

Life After Sharding: Monitoring and Management of a Complex Data Cloud
Boris Livshutz, Enterprise Architect
7/18/12 at 1:40pm in Room E143
Boris has been with AppDynamics from the early days, but this is his first time speaking about his experience here. Boris will talk his experience creating and managing what he calls a “complex data cloud” for AppDynamics, including his preferred tools as well as important advice for organizations considering moving their data to the cloud.

2. Cool t-shirts and BOSE headphones. Ok, these aren’t for us, but we’re still excited about them, mostly because we love giving stuff away. Come by booth #320 to get a “Kiss My App” t-shirt and to enter for a chance to win BOSE QuietComfort 15 noise-canceling headphones.

3. We’re hiring! If you’re a rockstar engineer looking for a new challenge, AppDynamics might be the place for you. Check out our open positions and learn about why AppDynamics is an awesome place to work at our careers page, or stop by our booth and chat with us about it!

Hope to see you there!
