Database

The AppDynamics Database Monitoring module for Oracle is a comprehensive, 24/7 deep-dive tool used to monitor any edition of Oracle Database running on any platform.

Oracle Database, Oracle’s flagship product, is a commercial relational database management system (RDBMS). It provides large organizations an enormous feature set, right out-of-the-box. These core features include logical data storage using tablespaces, table partitioning based on key sets, and database monitoring and tracking. Oracle Database offers extensions to customize the system’s core functionality. Known as "database options", these include such features as Advanced Compression, Advanced Security using data encryption, Content Database to store unstructured data, Data Mining to find patterns among existing data, and an In-Memory Database Cache that leverages TimesTen technology. Oracle also provides its customers the option to install additional "Management Packs", designed to utilize cutting-edge database technologies like multi-tenancy cloud file systems, and online analytical processing (OLAP), among other features.
