The terminal launcher extension allows you to view your Application Nodes and connect directly via SSH or PUTTY.
Note: The SSH launcher supports SSH on Windows and UNIX/Linux.
Install node.js from nodejs.org.
Extract the Terminal_Launcher.tar.gz.
From the command prompt or terminal window, navigate to root directory or the extracted files and type the following command:
Open a browser and go to: "localhost:8000"
Enter the AppDynamics Controller Host name, such as "demo1.appdynamics.com".
Enter Controller port number, such as "8080".
Enter a valiad username, such as "admin@customer1".
Enter the Controller user password, such as "adminPassword".
Click to select the OS Type of the server running this application.
If a gateway is required to ssh into a machine, click Yes to Enable Gateway Connection and then enter the parameters of the gateway.
If the controller has SSL enabled and is being then set SSL Enabled to Yes.
Check Yes for Remember Configuration if you want to save the data entered in a cookie.
Once logged in, expand list and click on a node.
In the following popup enter the user to SSH.
A terminal will be displayed on the browser to enable interaction with the machine.
