AppDynamics Receives Highest Score In Every APM Use Case in New Gartner Research
New report is a companion to the Gartner MQ for Application Performance Monitoring Suites
SAN FRANCISCO – FEBRUARY 17, 2016 – AppDynamics, a leading application intelligence company, today announced that AppDynamics received the highest product score from Gartner in all five “Critical Capabilities Use Cases” in its recently released report, “Critical Capabilities for Application Performance Monitoring” Those use cases identified by Gartner consist of Application Support, Application Development, IT Operations, Application Owner or LOB, and DevOps Release.
The Critical Capabilities research report, a companion document to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for APM, provides an “evaluation of APM suite capabilities across five usage scenarios and is designed to assist IT planners as they look to support mission-critical e-commerce and other services.” Fifteen vendor products were chosen and evaluated for each capability and scored on a five-point scale. The capabilities assessed for each use case included business analysis, service monitoring, anomaly detection, distributed profiling, application debugging, and workload planning.
AppDynamics received the highest score in all five use cases:
- Application Support
- Application Development
- IT Operations
- Application Owner or LOB
- DevOps Release
