Gigaom Research Ranks AppDynamics Number One in Comprehensive Evaluation of Leading Application Performance Management Vendors

AppDynamics Scores Higher than AppNeta, New Relic, Compuware, Dell and Riverbed in “Sector Roadmap: Application-Management Solutions for Distributed and Cloud”

SAN FRANCISCO – September 10, 2014 – AppDynamics, the application intelligence leader for the software-defined business, today announced that GigaomM Research has given the company the highest ranking among application performance monitoring (APM) vendors in its report, “Sector Roadmap: application-management solutions for distributed and cloud environments.” Each vendor tested for this report was ranked on cloud-readiness, breadth of language support, application topology mapping, transaction tracing, mobile and end-user experience monitoring, ease of deployment and operations.

The highest possible score for each vendor tested in this report was a 5.0; AppDynamics received a score of 4.9. Other vendors tested included AppNeta (4.5), New Relic (4.4), Compuware Corporation (3.0), Dell Inc. (3.5), and Riverbed Technology Inc. (3.2). The report chronicles the history of APM from 1998 through present day and highlights anticipated challenges for the space in years to come.
