How is AppDynamics Priced?
AppDynamics is packaged in the Infrastructure Monitoring, Premium and Enterprise packages which are licensed per CPU Core. A CPU Core is defined as the logical thread core or processor reported by the operating system on a unique instance of a physical or virtual host machine.

Are subscription licenses exclusive to a particular application stack?
No, subscription licenses are not tied to a particular application stack. As long as you have licenses to cover the number of CPU Cores (AppDynamics) being reported at any given time, you can monitor an unlimited number of applications, databases, servers or containers.
Does AppDynamics offer monitoring solutions for microservices?
Yes, AppDynamics and Cloud Native Application Observability powered by the Cisco FSO Platform are end-to-end monitoring solutions covering a broad range of technologies including highly elastic architectures that include microservices, Docker and Kubernetes containers, or that leverage cloud auto-scaling. Monitoring for microservices is included with all packages between both products.

Does AppDynamics offer volume discounts or special pricing options?
Yes, we offer volume discounts and custom pricing for large installations for AppDynamics. Additionally, AppDynamics can be purchased via Cisco Enterprise Agreements which offers additional price predictability and flexibility (such as an option to instantly add more licenses without going through the purchase process) that enterprise customers need.

How is Real User Monitoring priced?
Real User Monitoring modules are priced based on tokens which represent the amount of traffic (for example pageviews and users) on your applications. Real User Monitoring includes Browser and Mobile user monitoring. Connected Devices (IoT) and Synthetics (Hosted and Private Agent) are priced separately.
