The multi-brand retail, media and publishing group has selected the AppDynamics Application Intelligence Platform as a critical tool to help build and later operate Net-A-Porter’s new customer-centric network operations center (NOC) that will aim to drive operational excellence and deliver a flawless user experience to the Group’s nine million monthly visitors. The Group has deployed AppDynamics end-to-end across its three brands, NET-A-PORTER, THE OUTNET and MR PORTER, in order to help reduce the complexity of its infrastructure, while improving visibility of application performance and BizDevOps collaboration.
The platform empowers DevOps teams within each of the three brands, as well as the operations team that oversees the Group’s infrastructure, to move away from a siloed view of application performance. It is now possible to proactively measure the quality of customer experience across the Group’s site functions such as search, checkout, product comparison, and homepage displays.
The Net-A-Porter Group is built on a foundation of technology innovation and was an early adopter of AppDynamics, and due to this longstanding working relationship the Group’s requirements were built into AppDynamics’ product roadmap. Today, the Group has approximately 1,000 AppDynamics agents deployed across its hybrid cloud environments, and will scale the solution as it continues to refine its infrastructure.
