SAN FRANCISCO – April 24, 2014 – AppDynamics, the application intelligence leader for the software-defined business, today announced the appointment of Chuck Robel, former McAfee chairman of the board and current board member at publicly held technology companies Informatica, Palo Alto Networks, Jive Software and Model N.
Mr. Robel brings stellar experience and background to the board of AppDynamics which includes Jyoti Bansal, founder and CEO of AppDynamics, Asheem Chandna of Greylock Partners, Ravi Mhatre of Lightspeed Venture Partners and Dev Ittycheria, former CEO of BladeLogic and former president of the Enterprise Service Management business of BMC Software.
Robel currently serves as the lead director of Informatica, the largest independent data integration company, and sits on the boards of Jive Software (IPO in 2011), Palo Alto Networks (IPO in 2012) and Model N (IPO in 2013). In addition he serves on the board of privately held Go Daddy Group.
AppDynamics is the recognized technology leader in application performance management and recently announced record-breaking growth in its fiscal year ending Jan 31, with a 175 percent year-over-year increase in bookings and an annualized bookings run-rate of more than $100 million in its fiscal fourth quarter. Additionally, the company increased its customer base from 500 to over 1,000 across multiple verticals including financial services, media, retail, telecommunications, transportation and healthcare. Robel’s appointment comes as the company continues to attract bellwether brand customers around the world including DIRECTV, NBC Universal, StubHub and Weight Watchers.
