The personal information you give us in connection with your application for employment will be used to determine your suitability for a position within AppDynamics and, if applicable, your terms of employment or engagement. Your details may also be included in management information which AppDynamics uses to monitor its recruitment initiatives and equal employment opportunity policies. AppDynamics recognises that some information held will be sensitive personal data and will not be disclosed without your explicit consent, except where permitted by law. Your details may be held manually or electronically (such as on AppDynamics' databases available to authorised users).
AppDynamics may disclose your details to verify or obtain additional information about you from third parties including education institutions and past employers and, if applicable, credit reference agencies. (Credit reference agencies keep details of searches. You can contact us to find out which agencies have been used, if any.)
For the purposes stated above, your details will be disclosed to authorised staff within AppDynamics and its affiliates.
Other than those listed below, your details will not be disclosed to any external body unless you have consented or AppDynamics is under a legal obligation or entitlement or other duty to do so:
(a) agents, contractors or third party service suppliers providing services to support AppDynamics’ business operations;
(b) persons under a duty of confidentiality to AppDynamics including auditors and lawyers;
(c) any lawyer or firm of solicitors in connection with legal proceedings, to obtain legal advice or whenever necessary to support AppDynamics' legal rights;
(d) any person to whom we may transfer our rights and obligations under any agreement we may have with you; and
(e) any public agencies/authorities as required by any law, statute, or regulation.
We rely on the following legal basis, under data protection laws, to process your personal information:
(a) because the processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps prior to entering into a contract with you (i.e., a contract of employment);
(b) because it is in our legitimate interests as an employer to assess your suitability for employment or engagement, monitor and improve our recruiting initiatives and for the reasons set out above.
If you fail to provide your personal data, AppDynamics will be unable to consider your application for employment.
If your application is unsuccessful, your details will be retained by AppDynamics as required by law following our final communication to you that your application was unsuccessful.
