DB2 Performance Monitoring

The AppDynamics Database Monitoring product module for DB2 is a comprehensive, 24/7 deep-dive tool used to monitor version 8 and higher of DB2 databases running on LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) platforms.

TIBM DB2 is a collection of database server technologies that have traditionally supported a relational database management system (RDBMS) architecture. Recently, however, IBM has made several of its products compatible with NoSQL database structures via extensions. DB2 products are most often used with various hardware, IBM’s SmartCloud service, and third-party cloud infrastructures. As a mature database system, DB2 offers users broad-based functionalities, including: pureScale clustering, XML support, mobile sync services, JSON and MongoDB APIs, integration with Hadoop, Resource Description Framework (RDF), and integration with z/OS mainframe hardware. DB2 works with most operating systems, including Windows, most Linux and Unix distributions, and z/OS.

Deep visibility into DB2 performance

Get to the root cause quickly and resolve costly performance problems with real-time visibility into transaction activity, cache hit rates, access types, and other performance counters in any DB2 server throughout your organization.

Historical DB2 performance trends

Analyze data and receive alerts based on DB2 performance trends and use this information to proactively improve resource efficiency and optimize end user experiences.

SQL drilldown

Quickly troubleshoot issues with a one-click analysis that displays details of the SQL statement and execution plan.

View DB2 objects

Gain a holistic view of your DB2 objects with full visibility and correlation with SQL execution plans that display current DB2 configuration parameters, properties, and information related to database objects, including configuration values.

Comprehensive performance reports

Visualize important information, like historical reporting of time series comparisons and top SQL reports to make data-driven decisions about your DB2 servers.

"It was simple to deploy. It took minutes, literally. On our first proof-of-concept, we saw results within an hour. "
