Navigating the New Normal: How Technology Is Helping Us Move Forward

What a difference a week, a day, and sometimes even hours makes in the world we are currently living in. It’s a strange time for all of us — as humans, parents, caregivers, first responders, educators, business owners. Nobody is left untouched by this new “normal.”

For me, that means adjusting to working from home, managing our children’s education, and navigating everyday life tucked away from the outside world. But I consider myself fortunate considering the hardships that many others are dealing with. As CMO of AppDynamics, I can’t help but think about what COVID-19 means for the organizations around the world that are working hard to adapt to the challenges it brings, while at the same time continuing to deliver information, goods and services their customers rely on.

As I write this, my own team is working to pull together all the resources we can to help our customers through the crisis — customers like a large healthcare provider who reached out to us a few days ago for help ensuring their website would be available and accessible 24/7. In the healthcare industry and beyond, organizations are turning to digital like never before to deliver critical information and services. The same organizations are also faced with the challenge of ensuring their employees stay connected, engaged, and productive during this period of widespread change.

While digital is certainly not new, our reliance on it to drive critical parts of business in these turbulent times certainly is.
