Gartner's 2019 Magic Quadrant highlights AppDynamics Business iQ as a robust differentiator in the application performance monitoring market.

We’ve had some great wins at AppDynamics, and today was no exception.

For the seventh time, we were named a Leader in Gartner’s 2019 Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring Suites. It’s something I’m incredibly proud of, but this wouldn’t have happened without our amazing team, and of course, our customers.

You’ve challenged us to step up our game, prioritize innovation, and deliver on customer-first experiences. And our team has worked hard to deliver on these areas.

A core guiding principle for us has been to provide deep visibility into the broadest array of technologies, and recent innovations include Serverless Agent for AWS Lambda, AppDynamics for Kubernetes, AppDynamics for SAP, and support for OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, .NET Core, SPA, and more.

Enterprises are facing intense pressure to meet the expectations of today’s digital-first world, where slow servers can result in user abandonment, and network outages can lead to the loss of millions of dollars. Because of this, we’ve doubled down on Business iQ, which allows enterprises to see how their digital experience impacts customer behavior, revenue and ultimately, their business goals.

“Retailers live and die by the consumer experience, whether that experience comes in person, through mobile or on the web,” said John Hill, CIO, Carhartt. “It was imperative to understand how to position our business for the evolving consumer needs of today and in the future. With Business iQ, we now have a direct lens into the health of business transactions across our entire digital shopping journey in real time, so we can continue to deliver the highest quality user experience to our consumers.”

It’s customer use cases like these that remind us of how impactful AppDynamics can be, but most importantly, it inspires us to do more – to be better. And that’s what led us to The Central Nervous System for IT. Together with Cisco, we’re dedicated to arming you with unique visibility, insight, and automation to thrive into today’s complex IT environments.

This vision comes to life, in part, through the Cognition Engine, which was built to address a critical customer pain point: Hours spent identifying the root cause of performance issues. Our customers needed help here, and we accepted the challenge. With Cognition Engine, we use artificial intelligence to automate root-cause analysis and detect anomalies, cutting remediation times down to just seconds.

Another critical part of our AIOps vision was to create a bridge between DevOps and infrastructure teams to leverage application intelligence to drive infrastructure automation.

We delivered on this through the first ever integration between an Application Performance Monitoring platform and a Software Defined Network platform with AppDynamics for Cisco ACI: Application Centric Infrastructure.

Thank you to our customers and partners for working closely with us on this journey, and our employees, for their incredible work. We are now the largest and fastest growing company in the APM market, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re thrilled to be recognized by Gartner as a Leader in APM Suites for the seventh year in a row, and can’t wait to show you what we have in store.
